Warehouses drawn
to plan — pipelines built to run.

MADDS designs and builds modern data warehouses: layered storage, tested transformations and pipelines that run on schedule. You get clean history, one definition of every metric, and reports that match the books.

  • Layered storage
  • Version-controlled transforms
  • Monitored loads

Data moves one way — in from the sources, out to the people.

The floor plan

The warehouse, zone by zone.

Good warehouses are boring on purpose. Data moves one way — in from the sources, out to the people — and every zone does a single job. Point at a zone to read what happens there.

Ingest

The loading dock

Batch files, database replication and streams land here. Schema, volume and freshness are checked at the door — a bad load stops before it spreads.

Raw

The archive

Every record kept exactly as it arrived. When a rule changes or a question goes back in time, history is re-derived from originals — never from memory.

Curated

The workshop

Cleaned, conformed and deduplicated. Business rules live here as tested SQL in version control, not as spreadsheet folklore.

Semantic

The dictionary

One definition of customer, revenue and margin for the whole company. Tools read this layer, so two dashboards can no longer disagree.

Serving

The storefront

Query-fast marts, aggregates and APIs shaped for the people and products that consume them — dashboards, apps, models and exports.

Hover, tap or tab through the zones — the notes alongside light up with them.

The assembly line

Every load runs the same line.

Loads get no special treatment. Each one crosses the same scanner — ingest, validate, transform, test, document, publish — with the same checks and the same logs. Watch a run go through.

  1. Ingest

Loads arrive on schedule — batch, micro-batch or streaming.

  2. Validate

Schema, volumes and freshness checked before anything moves.

  3. Transform

Business logic in version-controlled SQL, reviewed like code.

  4. Test

Row counts, keys, ranges and referential integrity on every run.

  5. Document

Lineage and descriptions are generated as the models build.

  6. Publish

Marts and APIs refresh; reports pick up the new data together.

When a run fails, it fails at a named station, with a clear reason. That is the difference between a pipeline and a hope.

The modelling tree

Model for the question, not the fashion.

The right model depends on the questions you ask, the history you must keep and the team that will maintain it. MADDS picks the shape that fits — and writes down why.

The root question“How will the business ask questions of this data?”

Star schema

Dimensions and facts that analysts can join without a map.

  • Fast reads
  • Easy to learn
  • Quick to build

Data vault

Hubs, links and satellites that absorb new systems without a redesign.

  • Full history
  • Source-faithful
  • Team-scalable

Lakehouse

Open table formats on object storage, queried like a warehouse.

  • Open formats
  • Cheap at scale
  • BI + ML together

In practice: a star schema where BI leads, a data vault where audit history is the point, a lakehouse where volume and machine learning share the load. Often more than one — joined by the same tests.

The scale ruler

Scale is a dial, not a project.

Storage and compute are sized separately, so growth is a setting rather than a rebuild. The design that carries your first 50 GB still carries your first 5 PB — same layers, same tests, bigger machines.

50GB
  1. GBFirst loads · one team
  2. TBEveryday warehouse · years of history
  3. PBSensors, events, ML · no re-platform

One design runs from 50 GB to 5 PB. What changes along the way is throughput, retention and compute size — not the architecture, and not your reports.

The migration staircase

Five phases. No big-bang weekend.

We move warehouses the safe way: alongside, not instead of. The old system keeps running until the new numbers are proven, and every phase has a way back.

Old system
New warehouse

Survey

We map sources, volumes, owners and the reports people actually use.

Design

Layers, naming rules and the load strategy are agreed before the first table is built.

Build & dual-run

The new warehouse runs beside the old one until the numbers agree — day after day.

Cut over

Reports, apps and teams switch in a planned window, with a rollback path kept warm.

Run & improve

Monitored loads, documented models and a backlog of improvements — not a handover cliff.

One definition

Two dashboards. One revenue number.

Flip the semantic layer on and watch the arguments end. Figures are illustrative.

Sales dashboard₹4.2 CrRevenue this quarter
Finance report₹3.9 CrRevenue this quarter

Two answers to one question.

Before you ask

Questions teams start with.

Do we have to replace our reporting tools?

No. Your dashboards read the semantic layer, so they can keep running while the warehouse underneath improves.

Can the old and new warehouse run side by side?

Yes — that is how we migrate. Both run until the numbers agree, and a rollback path stays warm at cut-over.

How do we know a pipeline is healthy?

Every run is logged and tested, and a failure stops at a named station with a clear reason.

Which model will you choose for us?

Whichever fits your questions, history needs and team — and we write down why.

Let’s draw up your warehouse.

Bring your sources, the reports you trust and the ones you don’t. You’ll get back a layered design, a migration plan in five phases and a fixed first sprint.

Updated Draft for review

Your information, handled with purpose. This draft explains the information collected through the MADDS website, why it is requested, and how to contact us about it.

Information you choose to share

When you send an enquiry or project brief, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address and message, together with any company, phone, country, industry, service interests, budget or timeline you choose to provide. Newsletter sign-ups collect your email address and subscription status.

How that information is used

  • Enquiries and proposals: to understand your request, reply to you and discuss a potential project.
  • Project communication: to coordinate agreed work and maintain relevant business records.
  • Optional updates: to manage a newsletter subscription you request. You can ask to stop these messages at any time.
  • Site operation: to maintain forms, investigate technical problems and protect the website against misuse.

Submitting an enquiry is not, by itself, an instruction to subscribe you to marketing messages. Any permission needed for an additional purpose should be requested separately.

Website technology and service providers

Security cookies help the site's forms work correctly. The website also loads fonts and interface libraries from external services, including Google Fonts, Cloudflare's cdnjs and jsDelivr. When your browser requests those files, the provider receives connection information such as your IP address and browser details.

Hosting, email and technical-support providers may process information needed to operate the service. The live provider list, hosting locations and any international transfers must be confirmed before this draft becomes a final notice. Read the Cookie Policy for more detail about website storage.

Retention and security

The proposed approach is to keep enquiry and project records for as long as needed for the relevant conversation, agreed services, record-keeping duties and dispute resolution. Subscription information should be reviewed when someone unsubscribes. Specific retention periods and deletion processes still need to be confirmed by MADDS.

No website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Access controls, hosting safeguards and backup arrangements should be reviewed against the information being handled.
